Selva Val Gardena, located in the Dolomites at 1,563 m altitude, is a key access point for the Sella Ronda ski circuit. The village sits approximately 120 km from Innsbruck Airport, with a typical transfer time of 2.5 to 3 hours depending on winter traffic and Brenner Pass conditions. Selva offers over 175 km of interconnected slopes and direct lift access to Gröden/Val Gardena and Alta Badia. Travellers should note that snow chains or AWD vehicles are required during heavy snowfall, especially from December to March. Families and groups with ski equipment will find dedicated storage at most accommodations. Winter season peaks from mid-December through late March, with increased transfer demand during Italian and Austrian school holidays. Advance booking is recommended for large parties or those requiring child seats (0-9 kg and 9-18 kg bands available).
