Innsbruck Airport to Mayrhofen Private Taxi Transfer

A private taxi transfer from Innsbruck Airport to Mayrhofen covers about 70 km and takes around 60 minutes in normal traffic. It is the shortest of the main ski transfers from Innsbruck: you are met at arrivals and can be at your accommodation at the head of the Zillertal valley about an hour later.

The route from Innsbruck Airport to Mayrhofen

We drive east on the A12 Inntal motorway to the Zillertal exit near Wiesing, then follow the B169 up the valley through Fügen, Kaltenbach and Zell am Ziller. Mayrhofen is the last large village in the valley, so the transfer runs the full length of the Zillertal.

Saturday traffic in the Zillertal

The B169 is the only main road into the valley, and on winter Saturdays it is one of the busiest roads in Tirol. Our drivers know it well and use winter tyres. If you travel on a changeover day, expect a longer journey than the usual hour and allow for it when you plan your return flight.

Zillertal railway or private transfer?

By train you go from Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof to Jenbach and change to the Zillertalbahn, which ends in Mayrhofen. From the airport that also means a bus or taxi into the city first, and a walk or local taxi at the other end. A private transfer covers the whole journey in one vehicle, directly from the terminal.
