The route from Munich Airport to Ischgl

There are two ways from Munich Airport to the Paznaun valley, and your driver picks the better one on the day. The motorway route runs via Rosenheim and Kufstein onto the A12 Inntal motorway, past Innsbruck to Landeck. The shorter route leads via Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Fernpass to Imst. Both continue on the S16 to the Pians exit and then follow the B188 through See and Kappl to Ischgl.

Ski and snowboard bags travel at no extra charge, and child seats are free. Tell us the numbers when you book so that we send a vehicle with enough space for a three-hour journey. A Business Sedan carries up to 3 passengers, a Business Van up to 7, and a Minibus up to 16 for groups.

Border, winter roads and Saturday traffic

The journey crosses from Germany into Austria, so keep your passport or ID card to hand. Our vehicles run on winter tyres. On winter Saturdays both the Fernpass and the Inntal motorway are busy, and the B188 is the only road into the valley, so the journey can take noticeably longer. If you can choose, a flight that lands before midday makes for an easier arrival.

Train and bus or private transfer to Ischgl?

Ischgl has no railway station. By public transport you take the S-Bahn from the airport into Munich, a train to Landeck-Zams, usually with a change, and then a bus up the valley. With ski bags that is a long day. A private transfer is one vehicle from the terminal to your hotel, timed to your flight.
